Yes, Wayé is a pet-friendly hotel in Valladolid. We welcome pets in designated rooms and have a secret garden where your pet can roam. Pets are not allowed in the pool area or the indoor restaurant due to health regulations, but they are welcome in the outdoor common areas. 3. How far is Wayé from Chichén Itzá and the main cenotes?

 

Wayé is a 30-minute drive from Chichén Itzá (45 km), 20 minutes from Cenote Suytún, 10 minutes from the Xkeken and Samulá cenotes, 7 minutes from Cenote Zací (in Valladolid), and 25 minutes from the Ek Balam archaeological site. Río Lagartos is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away. From Wayé, we can arrange private transportation or guided tours to these destinations. Transfers are included in our 3-day experience packages.

4. How much does it cost to stay at Wayé, and what is included in the rate?

 

Rooms at Wayé start at $862 MXN per night. The rate always includes: a full breakfast at our Verde Rooftop restaurant, access to the pool from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM, high-speed WiFi, free parking, bike rentals, and participation in some of the hotel’s cultural experiences. We have six room types: Single, Double, Terrace, Balcony, and Suite. Rates vary by season and room type. As a sustainable boutique hotel, Wayé operates using solar panels, inverter air conditioners, a reverse osmosis system for water purification, four biodigesters for wastewater treatment, biodegradable cleaning products, soaps and shampoos made with local honey, ingredients sourced from within a 10-kilometer radius for the restaurant, and its own vegetable garden. It is located in the center of Valladolid and features 22 rooms inspired by the kines of the Mayan calendar.


6. How do I get to Wayé from the Cancún or Mérida airport?

 

From Cancún International Airport (CUN), Wayé is a 2-hour drive via Highway 180D (approximately 160 km). Your options are: renting a car at the airport, taking the direct ADO bus from Cancún to Valladolid (2.5 hours, hourly departures), or arranging private transportation, which we can coordinate for an additional fee. From Mérida International Airport (MID), Wayé is a 1-hour 45-minute drive via Highway 180D (160 km). From Tulum International Airport (TQO), it is approximately a 1-hour 30-minute drive. If you arrive by ADO bus, the Valladolid terminal is a 7-minute walk from the hotel.

Wayé features 22 rooms, each inspired by a kin from the Mayan calendar, with a unique design and message. The available room types are: Single Room (one double bed, ideal for one or two people on a budget), Double Room (with two twin beds, for families or friends), Terrace Room (private balcony overlooking the hotel’s inner courtyard), Balcony Room (view of the courtyard, available as a single or double), and Suite (the most spacious, with a jacuzzi or private terrace, ideal for couples or special occasions). All rooms include inverter air conditioning, WiFi, a private bathroom, and breakfast.

9. What is Wayé’s cancellation and check-in policy?

 

Check-in at Wayé begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 12:00 PM. When you book directly at waye.mx, we offer flexible cancellation up to 48 hours before your arrival date at no charge, as well as a free late check-out until 2:00 PM, subject to availability. If you book through platforms such as Booking or Expedia, each platform’s policies apply, which are generally more restrictive. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards, cash payments in MXN or USD, and SPEI transfers. The front desk is open 24 hours a day. 10. Does Wayé have its own restaurant, and what are its hours?

 

Yes, Wayé has two in-house dining venues. Verde Rooftop is our main restaurant, featuring intuitive, local, and plant-based cuisine, where breakfast is served for guests from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and lunch from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. We use fruits and vegetables grown within a 10-kilometer radius and herbs from our own garden. Mercado 41 is our second dining space, inspired by the traditional cuisines of Yucatán, featuring a casual menu of authentic regional fare, open from 5:00 PM to midnight. Both restaurants are open to the general public, not just hotel guests. Guests who book directly at waye.mx receive a 10% discount on food and drink at Verde Rooftop.
